Statement
"I am keen that my art communicates the passion I feel about something. It takes courage to paint the way you want to, but it is important. This might sound obvious but there are so many influences out there. It is crucial to be receptive to the right ones.
The subject matter and the creative process need to excite. Colour and mark making, texture and fluid line come together to capture mood and atmosphere.
The influences within my work draw mostly upon Expressionism, Folk and British Naïve Art from the early and mid-20th century".
