Barbara Jackson

BJPrintStudioSBarbara Jackson graduated from St Martin’s School of Art works in the disciplines of painting and printmaking. She has been awarded prizes in Printmaking and has succeeded in both group and one-man exhibitions.

Barbara finds etching endlessly fascinating in its technical and artistic challenges. She uses figures and cityscapes as a vehicle to capture light, movement and atmosphere. All prints are etchings and aquatints and each print is individually inked and passed through the press by the artist.

Barbara has sold her work through various London galleries throughout her career and has exhibited in the Royal Academy’s annual Summer Exhibitions. She is a member of the Southbank Printmakers Cooperative in London and is currently a Course Director and Tutor at the Institue of Hampstead Garden Suburb. She also holds a Certificate in Art Therapy and runs art workshops/exhibitions at the Holocaust Survivor Centre.
